Marie Chewe-Elliott is an author, poet, writing coach, and editor. Recently she became a co-author on two Amazon best sellers. She inspires women to harness the stories and wisdom of their past experiences to create the future they deserve.
She is the author of “Psalms of a Woman: Selected Poems & Reflections,” “Woman’s Work: Poems, Songs & Hope for the Journey,” and a children’s picture book, “What Kittens Like.” She was a co-author of the Amazon International Award bestseller, “Clarity Out of Chaos: Finding Your Way When There’s No Path;” editor and writing coach on the Amazon bestseller, “Overcoming: Living Our Best Life in Spite Of;” editor of “Kingdom Vision for Audacious Women: Lessons from Our Mothers & Others.
Marie’s poetry won recognition from the 2019 Rolla Arts writing contest and the 2019 Metro Arts in Transit Contest.
In 2012, she co-founded North County Writing & Arts Network, a collective of local writers, poets, multimedia artists, etc.
Marie has more than three decades in various facets of communications. Her love of words led her to roles as a newspaper reporter, corporate and government communications, and public engagement.
She earned degrees from the University of Mississippi and Webster University.
